All-Star Prep Cheer
This class will offer cheer basics, stunt basics, and will include some tumbling. All Star prep is the opportunity to see if competitive cheerleading is something the athlete enjoys without the time commitment, financial obligation, and training schedule. The idea of this class is to introduce the fun of routine learning, and skill acquisition along with performance in a few competitions and/or exhibitions.
Colorado Edge is a mid-season competitive cheer team which will practice from September-March competing in 2-3 local competitions. This team will compete in the prep division which is designed as an introduction to cheer and the competitive world. The time commitment is less than full year teams and is meant to be fun and not as stressful. This division is perfect for athletes that have other time commitments along with high school cheerleaders that want to continue competing. While this team may only go for half the year we still offer cheerleading classes for the remaining months March-September. These classes will be held on days that will turn into Colorado Edges practice days. The classes are meant to keep athletes skills fresh and learn the basics which make the transition in to comp season much easier. In these classes we will teach motions, jumps, basic stunt technique, and basic tumbling (i.e handstands, forward/backward rolls, cartwheels, round offs, front/back walkovers, back handsprings). We highly encourage any athlete that wants to be a part of the Colorado Edge mid-season team to take these classes.
