Winter Show Checklist:
SunDance is closed for Thanksgiving Break: November 24 - November 30
No normal class on Thursday 12/4 or Saturday 12/6 dancers
BE SURE YOU KNOW THE FOLLOWING BEFORE DRESS REHEARSAL:
Do you know when your dress rehearsal is?
Do you know when your call time is for both the dress rehearsal and the show?
Do you know where the dress rehearsal and recital is being held?
Do you know what costume your dancer is wearing for their dance or dances?
Do you have the correct shoes for the recital?
Do you know how their hair and make up should be?
Do you know if they are wearing tights?
Have you gotten their large plastic bag prepared for their shoes backstage?
Have you put their names in their shoes in case they get misplaced backstage?
Have you joined the parent GroupMe for the dress rehearsal/recital updates?
Winter Show Information:
The studio will provide water bottles, snacks, and activities backstage.
Note any student with allergy restrictions should bring 1-2 of their own snacks per day.
We will be showing the following movie in the choir room to help keep everyone entertained:

Auditorium Parking Information:
Come through the middle entrance to the middle parking lot located by the bear
If you go to the upper parking lot - walk down the stairs to the doors by the bear
If you go to the lower parking lot - walk around the building to the doors by the bear
DO NOT PARK ALONG THE LOOP - YOU WILL BE TOWED
Drop Off:
When you enter the school, volunteers will be waiting to bring your dancer backstage. Volunteers and SunDance staff will be wearing black shirts that say “SUNDANCE RECITAL STAFF”. Please let the volunteer know which backstage group your child is in: BLACK BOX or CHOIR ROOM. The volunteer will walk your dancer backstage and ensure they get to their designated volunteer. Please be patient as we ensure every dancer finds their backstage parent volunteer safely.
*you will receive a separate email letting you know which room (black box or choir room) your students class is in.
Pick Up:
Both at Dress Rehearsal and Recital, dancers will be released in two separate locations.
Dancers in the Blackbox will be released from the left hand hallway, farthest from the cafeteria. Students coming from the Blackbox must be picked up in the lobby BY A PARENT not a sibling, and will not be permitted to leave the school for curb side pickup.
Dancers in the Choir Room will need to be picked up directly from the choir room. You can access the choir room via the cafeteria on the right hand side of the auditorium. Please form a line, and we will release dancers as their parents approach the door. This will be crowded and a bit time consuming, so we ask for your patience as we ensure every dancer gets to their parents safely.
Thursday, December 4th - DRESS REHEARSAL
Location: Palmer Ridge High School
19255 Monument Hill Rd. - Monument, CO 80132
**DRESS REHEARSAL IS NOT AT SUNDANCE**
Arrival/Call Time: 5:00 PM
Dancers must be at PRHS by 5:00 PM - please don’t arrive before 4:45 PM
Dancers must arrive in full costume/hair/makeup
Please bring your dancer with a large plastic bag with their name on it - this will ensure that all their personal belongings stay with them and are accounted for
Please send dance shoes in the plastic bag instead of personal dance bags
Please don’t send your dancer with extra items - toys/games/snacks
Once dancers arrive, they will be taken by one of our designated backstage helpers
Dress Rehearsal Starts: 5:30 PM
Parents are NOT allowed to view the dress rehearsal - please drop and go or plan to stay in the cafeteria until the rehearsal is finished
Your dancer will stay for the entire rehearsal
Dress Rehearsal Pick Up: 7:30 PM

Tickets:
The auditorium doors will open 30 minutes before the show begins/at the same time as the call time for the show. Please ensure every person you are bringing has a ticket, even children. Please also take extra care to know where your seats are. The link to purchase tickets, as well as a map of the auditorium, are included below.

Dancers must be at PRHS by 10:30 AM - please don’t arrive before 10:15 AM

Please bring your dancer with a large plastic bag with their name on it - this will ensure that all their personal belongings stay with them and are accounted for
Please send dance shoes in the plastic bag instead of personal dance bags
Please don’t send your dancer with extra items - toys/games/snacks
Once dancers arrive, they will be taken by one of our designated backstage helpers
Doors Open: 10:30 AM
The doors to the auditorium will open at 10:30 AM
The auditorium is assigned seating - please sit in the seat that reflect your ticket purchase - the seating map has been provided above
Once you arrive with your dancer for the call time listed above, you can get in line to enter the auditorium
Show Starts: 11:00 AM
Recital etiquette
When the theater lights dim please find your seats quickly
Please no food or drink in the theater
Please be sure to have your cell phone silenced
Please no flash photography
Applause is of course welcomed, and whispering if needed, but please no yelling or calling names of dancers
Please limit getting up and down during a performance, as you would if you were in a movie theater or other performance event
Please be courteous and show respect to the dancers and fellow audience members by removing a crying or disruptive child
When the show is finished, please exit the theater and take all of your belongings
